MERIDIAN

Know what you can actually spend.

Your investments gained €400 last month. Inflation quietly took part of it. Meridian tells you which part — and what is genuinely yours to spend without your savings losing buying power.

Android Coming to Google Play

How it works

  1. Add what you hold. A bank deposit, government bonds at a broker, an ETF, a friend's IOU — free text, an amount, and a currency.
  2. Log the month's gain once a month. Enter the amount earned, a percentage, or just today's balance — Meridian works out the difference.
  3. Get one number. Meridian charges each holding the real cost of inflation for that currency, and shows what is left as safe to spend.
The arithmetic, in full

inflation cost = capital × monthly inflation
real profit = gain − inflation cost

Nothing more complicated is happening. Meridian never moves money, never connects to your bank, and never asks for a login to anything financial. You record what happened; it does the arithmetic.

Real inflation, not a guess

Every currency is charged its own official index, straight from the statistics office that publishes it:

CurrencyIndexPublished by
EURHICPEurostat
USDCPI-UUS Bureau of Labor Statistics
GBPCPIUK Office for National Statistics
RONIPCINS — coming later

Indices publish about two weeks after a month ends, so Meridian always uses the latest confirmed month and tells you which one it is. It never shows an estimate. Once a month is closed it is frozen — a later revision to the index never rewrites your history.

Works without an account

Everything runs on your phone. Guest mode is the whole app, not a trial: your data lives in local storage and is never sent anywhere. An account adds backup, sync across devices and Premium — and when you make one, everything already on the phone moves into it. Nothing is lost.

Premium

The core loop is free — track holdings, log months, see what is safe to spend. Premium adds 1/5/10-year real projections, unlimited portfolios and currencies, automatic allocation to your goal buckets, and a push notification on the day new inflation figures land.

€3.99/month or €29.99/year, with a 14-day free trial. Billed through Google Play; cancel any time from your Play account.

Questions

Does Meridian connect to my bank?

No. There is no bank connection, no brokerage login, no card. You type in what you hold and what it earned.

Can it move or invest my money?

No. Meridian does arithmetic and shows you the result. Every euro stays exactly where you put it.

What happens if I stop paying for Premium?

The free features keep working and your data stays. Only the premium extras switch off.

How do I delete everything?

Profile → “Delete my account”, and it is gone from the server immediately. Full instructions.

Not financial advice. Meridian is an informational tool. It does not provide investment, tax or financial advice, does not recommend or execute transactions, and does not hold or transfer money. The figures it shows are arithmetic on data you enter and on published inflation indices. Decisions about your money are yours; if you need advice, speak to a qualified adviser.
